This interactive draw guide compares the relative strengths and distances travelled for each Champions League club and group. On the first tab there’s a clickable graph which allows you to switch between comparisons of distances travelled, UEFA coefficient and past group stage appearances for all 32 clubs.
The remaining tabs summarise each of the eight groups, ranking both clubs and the groups overall on distance travelled and club strength. The distances used are ‘as the crow flies’ between each club’s stadium and club strength is based on UEFA’s own coefficients. We’re aware that there are alternative methods for calculating both of these things, but we wanted to make things as uncontroversial and straightforward as possible.
